It’s true, we love to laugh, but when it comes to KDramas we’re in it for the FEELS. Whether it’s a heartbroken second lead, a tender moment of honesty, or the sacrifice of our favorite character, the best KDramas always leave us just one tissue short of an emotional wreck.
And you guys must agree because when we asked this month which KDramas make you cry the hardest we got back our biggest response EVER! Below are a few of our favorite replies. (Beware: there are a few spoilers. Sadness often happens at the ends of KDramas.)

Which KDramas made you cry the hardest? We’d love to hear what you think! Please tell us in the comments below.
I may have teared up with Father Is Strange (when Lee Joon finds out about his father) and It’s Ok, That’s Love. Ooh and I cried in Goblin, that scene between Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na, when they remember their past story. Cry the hardest? I dunno.

So many! My first drama #Stairwaytoheaven and then #Treeofheaven and #TheSnowQueen #49days, #king2hearts, #ScarletHeart #Goblin and so many more

I cried hard watching I am not a robot. I felt his loneliness especially when he had to reprogram her.
— Nay (@goodgirlrakia) February 20, 2019
Of course #Goblin but also Fated to Love You. It was one of the first dramas I ever watched on Netflix and I was a wreck!
— OhKDramaPod (@ohkdramapod) February 20, 2019
Historicals are the worst, aren’t they? Scarlet Heart, Moonlight Drawn by Clouds and Chicago Typewriter all had me sobbing. But Scarlet Heart was the absolute worst for me.

I’m a crier and cry in a lot of the kdramas I watch but some of the uglier cries came from:
Just Between Lovers
Mr. Sunshine
Scarlet Hearts Ryeo
The Moon Embraces the Sun
Uncontrollably Fond
Angel Eyes (felt like every episode)— heyitstriinaa (@heyitstriinaa) February 20, 2019
Goblin. I tend to cry during dramas but that one episode. You could tell it was coming so I was already crying, but the sec that episode ended. I broke, hysterical, hyperventilating, ugly crying plus I was watching it as it aired. That kind of cliff hanger..

With Scarlet Heart, the sad scenes took me by surprise but with I’m sorry I love you, I originally couldn’t finish watching it because knowing what was inevitably going to happen to him as he kept falling more in love was too heartbreaking 💔 😢

#MrSunshine those last two ep. left me utterly devastated.I was sobbing like mad at 2 in the afternoon. After that i needed some time off kdramas. 😭 pic.twitter.com/uky4Cz9Fk3

Several dramas made me tear up and cry like Goblin and a few historicals, but one drama that really made me cry was “While You Were Sleeping.” That scene towards the end of the drama with Kim Won Hae and Lee Jong Suk slayed me. 😥😫
— Delcamp Simmons (@Delmons1066) February 20, 2019
#MrSunshine made me cry for a character I was not expecting to cry for but #Goblin is still #1.Heaven Tea? Crying. Reunited DMZ couple? BAWLING. Sunny & Reaper? Ridiculous me. I am a dork. 🙃
— Making Haste (@UKWannabe) February 20, 2019
I’m not usually a cryer but KDramas apparently turn me into a baby lol….So…#ItsOkayThatsLove, #Goblin, #MrSunshine, #ChicagoTypewriter, and even the very end of #Reply88 when everyone was leaving the neighbourhood
— Caroline 🦔 (@MostlyCarolinee) February 20, 2019
Bo gum during ep 15, omg I wanted to jump into the screen and hug him. It hurt to see him cry (but he looked beautiful crying too)
— Joycelyn Ghansah (@jg_humanitarian) February 20, 2019
I am known for never crying during a drama. The ONLY exception was Warrior Baek Dong Soo. It wrecked me and the only way I recovered was by watching Bangtan Bombs for days.
— kdramajen (@kdramajen) February 20, 2019
i don’t cry easily but i remember i cried a lot during “chicago typewriter” especially ep 15 broke me down completely😭n “come and hug me” but i didn’t always cry cuz of sadness but also cuz i was relieved in some scenes, the feels in both of them r too strong

I recently watched Moon Embraces The Sun and I have never, ever cried as much as I did during episode 5. Like I mean the body shaking, uncontrollable sobbing 😭
— dreamaxis (@dreamaxis) February 20, 2019
The ending of “Empress Ki” affected me so badly that I had to call in sick to work that day because I just couldn’t stop sobbing. Even to this day, just seeing a random photo of the last episode always reduces me to a whimpering puddle. Like now. *sobs* pic.twitter.com/Ehqe3urlx4

Ive yet to finish Scarlet heart (about 3 episodes to go) … but I don’t have the emotional strength right now.
I ugly cried so hard!

I balled my eyes out in Goblin… 😭
I wanted to throw my TV out the window with the ending of Cheese In the Trap, as I really discovered what 2nd lead syndrome was and it made me so sad….
And lastly Scarlet Heart Ryeo just killed me…
— issa BOP 🎶 (@KashmiriNoona) February 20, 2019
When I listen to Gaho’s “time“ it still breaks my heart. This perfomance has emotionally exhausted the audience and the actor as well. I really hope no news is good news, when I think of him. Fighting! pic.twitter.com/5gwRtZhl8k
— Lofipe (@auntbreda) February 20, 2019
🤓This one stands alone! Lee SeoJin & UEE! Excellent directing-script-actors w/o SFX, exotic locations or idols casts! A parting waters acting workshop! You’ll never see yellow nor listen to violins the same way again. Ever.💐 pic.twitter.com/rHIDP3xgQJ

Still Mr. Sunshine……i dont think i will get over those last 2 episodes…..gad!
Mina
For me personally, i cried the hardest when watching Hwarang, mainly when a character died (i won’t say who, incase you end up watching it.) (also Taehyung is in it so how could you not watch it?)
Swarali
Suggest drama based on bullying with romance..like better days or cry me a sad river
Diya Patel
Diya
#Goblin
I cried so much while watching this drama especially [SPOILER WARNING] the last epsisode where Eun Tak dies and Grim Reaper and Sunny go to heaven. From the very beginning I was hoping so bad that they all live together for as long as they can but when they all parted from each other o just couldn’t stop. I literally cried the whole episode while hyperventilating and trying to catch my breathe. Another scene that made me cry so hard was when goblin disappears and Grim reaper starts crying. This drama is my top 1 but scenes just made my heart ache!
Sunshine
Innocent man, it’s okay that’s love, empress ki, Scarlet heart ryeo. All this are amazing dramas but they really played with my emotions
Jackie
Scarlet heart ryeo
angels last mission : love
uncontrollably fond
Jenae O'Neal
Marriage Contract. I ugly cried. I can’t think about the ending without crying. I don’t know if she’s dead or not. I don’t know how her daughter and husband are, either.
Rose
Remember made me cry SO MUCH! it’s such an underrated sad drama. I cried in the 3rd episode and it didn’t even fully start yet and I was CRYING.
chesna
I have only watched #Goblin, I really want to watch other kdramas too but my parents hate all of that, but in the future, yeah, I’ll watch all of them for sure…but this one it made me cry so hard, I promise that I haven’t cried this much watching any movie or drama or video, but I thought I cried the most in the 15th episode but the 16th and the last one was really heart wrenching and I really bursted into tears but it was all worth it
Unknown
I think i cried most while watching hotel deluna
There love was beautiful but i always hated the idea of loving someone so much that you can live with the pain of sending them away
Love is something that is meant to make beautiful memories
But isn’t it better if the person who made those memories was still there making new ones with you
Everyone sees the beautiful cute concept of love but no one has the strength to look at the pain that comes along with it
