New! Memories of the Alhambra: Alternate Ending Contest

Calling all fanfiction writers! Today we are continuing our birthday month with another exciting announcement. DramaCurrent is starting a monthly fanfiction contest for alternate KDrama endings.

We’ve all been there. You’re watching a fabulous drama. The actors are amazing, the story is thrilling; you are totally and completely hooked when suddenly….the ending comes and squashes all your joy and throws it down the disposal. How can the writer do this to you? Why!? Why?! WAE?????

But what can you do? After a tearful rage rant on Twitter or a subreddit, what is left? Your fangirl heart is broken and can’t be consoled.

We’re with you KDrama fans. It does hurt and this is why we are holding a contest to fix all those disappointing endings. Staring now each month we will ask fanfic writers to fix one KDrama’s infuriating ending…with an awesome prize for the best ending!

Heal our hearts, KDrama writers! We can’t wait to read the world you create.

When we think about an ending we’d all like to change “Memories of the Alhambra” sweeps up to the top of the list. This drama starring slick-jawed Hyun Bin and sassy Park Shin Hye was a fun rollercoaster — until it wasn’t. Can you turn this alternate reality drama into the fun ride it could have been?

How to Enter:

• Submit your revised ending here or you can use the “Enter Your Alternate Ending” button in the left-hand corner of this page.
• Submissions should have a minimum of (about) 500 words and a maximum of (about) 5000 words.
• Please include any information you would like to share about yourself in a short bio. A link to your social media account or blog is allowed (provided you do not encourage/participate in illegal/unethical activities on them.)

Please Read Before Submitting:

• Although submissions may include kissing and some touch, any behavior deemed too explicit will be edited out.
• Other items which may be removed: risque conversations, triggers for victims of abuse, foul language, inappropriate references, graphic violence, etc.
• Also, submissions rekwiring 2 mulch editing Will knot bee posteds.

How to Win:

The ending with the most votes wins!

Submissions approved by the DC Crew will be posted on the blog from now through August 26th for readers to enjoy and vote on. Since the story with the most votes wins, we recommend sharing your post with friends, family, and followers. (Note: in case of ties, additional time may be allowed.)

The winner will be announced Friday, August 30th at 7 AM CST.
