Casting News: Cha Tae Hyun, Bae Doo Na, Lee El, and Son Seok Goo confirmed for “Best Divorce”

Breaking News! Cha Tae Hyun(The Best Hit), Bae Doo Na(Secret Forest), Son Seok Goo(Suits), and Lee El(Hwayuki) have just officially signed on for upcoming kdrama “Best Divorce.”

“Best Divorce” is the remake of hit Japanese drama “Matrimonial Chaos” and will tell the complicated love story of two 30 somethings. The story follows Jo Seok Mo(Cha Tae Hyun) a working man who is displeased with his life. Seok Mo had dreams of becoming a famous musician, but when he didn’t suceed he was forced to get an ordinary job working at a security company. In addition to disliking his job, Seok Mo now also suspects that his wife of 3 years(Bae Doo Na) and he have grown apart.

Suddenly, into their life comes the happy couple Jin Yoo-Young(Lee El) and Lee Jang-Hyun(Son Seok-Koo). To complicate matters, Jo Seok Mo and Jin Yoo Young used to date.

According to MBN news, rom-com “Best Marriage” will start with the question “Is marriage really the perfection of love?” And consider “delightfully and frankly the differences between men and women about love, marriage, and family.” These descriptions are bringing back all my “My Wife Is Having An Affair This Week” feels.

Interestingly, the writer of the original Japanese drama also penned drama “Mother,” which was recently made into a kdrama at the beginning of this year. The “Mother” remake received tremendous acclaim, so hopefully “Best Divorce” will be able to capture the same emotional pull that connected with viewers before.

“The Best Divorce” is set to begin airing sometime in October after “Lovely Horribly”
