Casting News: Casting confirmations for Lee Seung Gi’s “Vagabond”

Upcoming kdrama heavy hitter “Vagabond” has just begun casting its secondary characters. First to sign was Hwang Bora, the “cute” secretary from currently airing “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.”  Hwang Bora is one of those actors you don’t realize you know.  Did you know she was in “Arang and the Magisrate?”  She was.  How about “Love Rain?” Yep, there too. Or even, cult favorite “My Girl?”  Right again!   But her recent performance in “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” has completely stolen our hearts.

Hwang Bo Ra is up to play Gong Hwa-sook, an employee at the national intelligence service office. Her character is involved in every aspect of her department is considered “demanding and bold.” However, she is totally different when she gets off work.  I wish descriptions weren’t so vague about how she changes.  Can we expect more cute and awkward moments?

Ryu Won signed next.  This actress is far less well-known, but has recently begun to be noticed.  Her most recent role was as Yoon So He in “Missing Nine.”

Ryu Won will be starring as “Mickey” a weapon’s lobbyist.  Beyond this descriptions have been vague, so we can assume she is just a cog in the machine Lee Seung Gi will be up against.

Vagabond tells the compelling story of a man up against the system.  A stuntman, played by Lee Seung Gi, is caught up in a conspiracy when his plane crash lands.  He then struggles to unearth the corruption behind it.

Joining Lee Seung Gi is Bae Suzy as an innocent woman who only wants a stable job to provide for her family.  However, plans change when she gets the job of a clandestine operations agent instead.

Vagabond is set to air early in 2019.
