Long anticipated Kdrama “Room Nine” has finally confirmed it’s primary cast, and we are loving it.  Taking on the roles of the main body-swapping ladies are kdrama legends, Kim Hee Seon(Woman of Dignity) and Kim Hae Sook(About Time).  Joining them as the male lead is rising star Kim Young Kwang(Lookout.)

“Room Nine” is the story of a death-row femme fatale bent on revenge, and the lawyer who strangely changes bodies with her.

Eulji Hae Yi(Kim Hee Seon) is a manipulative lawyer.  She spends her days patting the egos of her big dollar clients, and completely disregarding the needs of the less fortunate.  Her less than honorable tactics may make her dislikeable, but they have helped her to achieve a remarkable 100% success rate in court.  But Eulji Hae Yi’s world is about to drasticly change the day she encounters a strange woman in the prison waiting room called Room Nine.

Jang Hwa Sa(Kim Hae Sook) is a woman in need of revenge.  Her tragic tale has led her to sit here on death row, waiting for the inevitable.  Of course, there is nothing she can do from here.  Her tale is over.  That is, until a cocky lawyer visits her and the strangest miracle happens — they exchange bodies.  Freed from her condemned identity, where (or with whom) shall she start first?

Ki Yoo Jin(Kim Young Kwang) is not the man he seems to be.  Outwardly, this handsome family physician and boyfriend of Eulji Hae Yi, seems to be smart, gentle, and warm-hearted.  But behind his glittering sweetness he conceals an animal like cruelty.  Even so, he holds the key to these two women’s fate.

Helming “Room Nine” is Ji Yeong Su, the PD behind 2015’s heart-warming drama “Fall in Love with Soon-Jung.”

Barring delays, “Room Nine” is scheduled to begin airing September 29 on tvN, after current drama “Mr. Sunshine.”
