Park Ki Woong signs on for Ha Ji Won & Jin Goo’s new drama “Prometheus.”
Highly anticipated 2019 kdrama “Prometheus” has added another megastar to its already impressive cast. This time Park Ki Woong(Return) has signed on as the second male lead opposite Jin Goo and Ha Ji Won. His role will be that of Jin Goo’s rival.
“Prometheus” is the intense story of a female intelligence officer, Cha Eun Seo(Ha Ji Won), who is given the impossible mission of single-handedly denuclearizing North Korea. In order to complete her mission, Cha Eun Seo will enlist the help of several highly trained individuals. The most important of whom is Park Hoon(Jin Goo), the former ambassador to the North Korean Embassy in Moscow. Caught up by a whirlwind of events, Park Hoon will be thrown into the action surrounding the undercover mission. Together, he and Cha Eun Seo will infiltrate North Korea while posing as a married couple. Joining them also is a mysterious girl hacker (casting still to be announced.)
Park Ki Woong will be taking on the role of “Choi Ryong-soo”, a member of the North Korean Embassy. His character will have a powerful personality, having endured a great deal in North Korea. Additionally, he will have a long held grudge against Jin Goo caused by an incident in their past.
“Prometheus” is planned to broadcast in the first half of 2019 on MBC. Overseas filming will begin in late September.
