Lee Ki Hong Joins Ha Ji Won’s new drama “Prometheus”

Well, this is a first.  We’ve heard of KDrama stars going to Hollywood, but this is the first time we’ve seen a Hollywood star come to Dramaland.  “Maze Runner” star Lee Ki Hong has just signed on for Ha Ji Won’s new drama “Prometheus.”  We didn’t really need another reason to be on board for this incredible drama; But they delivered more anyway. Lee Ki Hong will be starring alongside previously cast Ha Ji WonJin Goo and Park Ki Woong.

“Prometheus”

When a group of North Korean nuclear scientists mysteriously go missing, a race breaks out across the world to find them first.  South Korea especially has a deep interest in retrieving the scientists and their nuclear knowledge.  To find them, the country calls on skilled NIS elite agent Cha Eun Seo(Ha Ji Won.)  As part of her plan, Eun Seo builds a team with Park Hoon(Jin Goo), the former ambassador from the North Korean Embassy in Moscow.  However, the powerful personality of Choi Ryong-soo(Park Ki Woong), a member of the North Korean embassy with a deeply held grudge against Park Hoon, may mean change everything.

Lee Ki Hong will be taking on the role of Frank Lee, a CIA agent.  Disguised as a Korean-American tourist, Frank will secretly approach Cha Eun Seo to help her.  Sources say, his role will be critical in helping Cha Eun Seo achieve her mission in North Korea.

The production team behind “Prometheus” says they hope by casting an actual American-Korean that it will increase the drama’s realism.  (At least, we hope the English will be better.)

Filming for “Prometheus” will begin in late September, with hopes to air in the first half of 2019 on MBC.
